Hi friends! It's been crazy busy around the studio and thankfully, things are starting to slow down a bit. Thanks to all who came out to our Grand Opening/Open House! It was great to see lots of friends and lots of new faces! We stayed busy all day and if you didn't get a piece of cake supplied by Cakes By Monica then you missed out. The strawberry rocked!

My brother surprised me and drove in from Little Rock and north of 635 represented well also. It is such a blessing to know I've got great friends and clients who've become friends. I'm putting up a few pics but please feel free to stop by and see us. We're in and out....out a lot, still working mostly on location.

Thanks again to everyone who donated items for door prizes... we have not contacted all of the winners yet, so you still may have won something... we will be calling this week!

Hello blessed friends and turn up the heat! Diana Raines Photography has so much to be "hot" about this July! We have several things on the burner!

Meet my friend Lindsay, who came to me by way of North Carolina -- yes, we are branching out! After being referred by one of Mansfield's own amazing Seniors of the class of 09, Justin and his mom Linda, Lindsay decided that she wanted the same look for her own Senior portraits. While visiting for Justin's graduation, we were able to get together for an amazing shoot, some new locations, and lots of laughs. Lindsay and her mom, Julie, were awesome and up for anything... we made every minute count! We shot late into the night, looking for any available light we could get. Even tried some crazy street lighting which was wicked cool!

Her images speak for themselves. From "girl-next-door" to "city chic", Lindsay, you rocked it! You were such a joy to work with. Would love for things to work out so I can come your way... have camera, will travel...

Rock on Lindsay and have a fantastic senior year!

Another rockin' senior... meet Brooke. Is she stunning or what? What a doll she was and her mom was "all up in her Koolaid!" and was so involved and helpful for her daughter's session. I can't wait to see your canvas portrait and the amazing custom Senior Coffee Table Book we've put together for Brooke's session.

Just an update on the new studio... looks like the opening will be in June with a Grand Opening in the works. We are now booking sessions for July and are already getting calls for, hold onto your hats, Christmas sessions! To save my sanity and actually allow for some Holiday cheer in our family this year, the cut-off for Christmas sessions is November 1st. Call now for an appointment for this fall if you're considering portraits + Christmas cards this year. We are still working on the new website and one day, I just know it, I will have time to get current session images on the blog... I think I can, I think I can...

I truly want so much to have more time to blog... is anyone feelin me on this? Quick post to thank all of the seniors I've had the absolute JOY to photograph so far this year... what a blast you guys all are! Many more are coming up... I can't wait! There are some amazing kiddos (sorry, that is supposed to be an endearing term... to all under the age of say, 21) coming into their own and I am constantly amazed at them all. If you are a senior and haven't yet been photographed, give me a call. I do still have some session time available for you guys... even for those last-minuters out there.

Also... big news coming soon... I'm soooo excited! Stay tuned...

Hi again! My goodness... where to start after such a long absence. First and foremost, God is good! He is the heart and soul behind this crazy life and the very reason I am able to get up every morning and look forward to a new day.

I hope the holidays were amazing for each of you, but geesh, that seems like forever ago... To my faithful blog followers, many thanks and kudos to you for hanging in there with us! We're back and I am challenging myself to spend more time blogging and less time, well you know... Facebooking! (is that a word?) For those of you who haven't joined, come on over and join the diana raines photography group. You'll hear about special offers each month and great incentives for referrals, see images of your friends and neighbors (and possibly you!), and just have a blast staying connected with buds.

We are in the process of updating our website... new goodies coming soon! OH... and I am pumped about the release of a new recording artist, Tyree Lindsey! I had the privilege of photographing her for her new CD release and will be introducing her title track "No Matter What" soon on the website! C'mon by Facebook... she's over there too!

And for the Class of 2009 - a few weeks ago I had a cool experience in Vegas, attending the Senior Portrait Artists (SPA) Convention... man, my head just about exploded with all kinds of new, fun things going on, several of which I've already implemented. I'm looking for a few good men [models!]... I have at least 3 girls so far - one from each of 3 different schools. I need some guys to step up and give it a go... a free Senior Session is in it for you, and images that will make your friends crazy with envy. (OK... that may be taking it a bit far...). Call me and let's talk to see if your style and my style are a match... you won't be sorry.

To everyone... if ya have a sec, send a shout-out my way... I would love to hear your thoughts on the site, any cool ideas you have or would like to try (photography only please!), and would just love to know who's out there.

Busy-ness

Things are crazy and I'm now almost 100% full for the Christmas season! I am trying to get a few more of you in, but it may likely be just one more! If you don't need photos as Christmas gifts, but still want to take advantage of the cooler weather and gorgeous lighting, we can photograph you in December or January. Think urban... lots of layers, jewel tones, funky accessories, cool weather... and downtown. We're now scheduling our urban sessions through February. Seniors tend to gravitate towards these, but let me tell you, they make amazing sessions for kiddos... even families!

For those of you that I've recently photographed, I am working around the clock to get your images to you, and can't wait for you to see them. I'm also excited to unveil our Christmas cards... gorgeous!

So here we go... due to the absence of 'free' time of late, this blog has been a long time in-the-making... but yay! Here we are! So hello to all... diana raines here... Ideally, through this blog, I will stay in touch with clients, both current and potential, including updates and activities, special offers, sneak peeks of recent sessions, etc.

Tonight I'm gearing up for a fund-raiser with 13 families tomorrow to benefit a private school here in Mansfield. I am excited to work with all of you! To other parents out there, contact me if your school is interested in raising funds via Christmas photo sessions for the families of its kiddos.
